When a payment order arrives, keep the envelope too
An initial checklist for the enforcement type, service date, claimed amounts and assessment of objections to a payment order.
Assessing enforcement proceedings, from the underlying debt to a payment order.
Believing that a debt exists and identifying the appropriate enforcement route are separate matters. A contract, promissory note, invoice, payment record or judgment may have different consequences. For debtors, the type of document received and its service date also matter. The scope of enforcement, objections and available procedures depend on the case documents.
Prepare relevant contracts, decisions, records and correspondence in chronological order where possible. Keep the envelope or electronic records of any notice that may carry a deadline. Identifying gaps or points you do not know helps plan further investigation.

Review of debts and supporting documents and related matters: prepare available documents, transaction dates and any notices. The required documents depend on the particular matter.
This page explains the general framework. The procedure, deadlines, competent authority and claims must be determined after reviewing your circumstances and documents.
Prepare the complete document, its annexes and the date it was received. Show the principal, payments made and other amounts claimed separately; the first page alone may not explain the document.
This is a general preparation list; not every document is needed in every case. Missing documents and next steps are assessed during the consultation.
